Welcome to emergise and my blog, secret diary of a good girl. Let me introduce myself: my name is Emma Fairclough and I am a good girl. I am a good girl with a twist.
I have dedicated my life to helping and protecting others. Since the age of 3 I learnt how to be a rock for others, how to be the shoulder they cry on, how to make them smile when all they want to do is scream. So, I understand what people need to know. I understand and instinctively know how to get the best out of them and how to make them feel like they can achieve anything…and the reason why is because they can – you can.
When emergise began in 2007 it brought all that together, in one beautiful real, feel good package. Not only have I had all my life experiences to help me help you but I’m trained and practised in a ton of mind psychology skills which backs up a lot of what I actually already knew. Many people have said that I’m wise beyond my years, but I just think that’s an excuse for their stupidity, and lack of depth…
…Ok, we haven’t officially met yet, so you probably don’t know that my natural style of humour (and a lot of my communication) is in fact the murky and somewhat blurred world of sarcasm. That’s right folks the world where people who don’t get it describe it as the lowest form of wit and the people who do get it, merely sit back and decide not to waste anymore of their highly intelligent humour on the former. This sense of humour my friends is what has kept me from losing my mind, so for that reason, if you don’t mind, it’s here to stay.
So what’s the twist?
Well the twist is sometimes life sucks and I’m no longer afraid to deny it. Sometimes life is so damn unfuckinfair and yet we’re expected to just deal with it and make the best of it. The twist is that one of the reasons I’ve spent my life dedicated to helping others, is because it detracts all the attention away from me. Detracts it away from the one person who probably needed it the most – ME.
Don’t worry, I’m not going to use this ‘About Me’ section to pour my heart out on the page, for me that kinda defeats the object of having a blog. And anyway, I’m actually looking forward to verbally throwing up all my ‘stuff’ from the last 35 years onto these pages before you over the coming years.
I promise I’ll clear it up though. That’s one thing you can always be sure of with me, sometimes I may take longer than others, but I’ll always clean up my mess, no matter how bad it gets.
So what else would you like to know? Whilst you think about it, here are a few facts you might find useful:
So I hope your emergise experience brightens up your day and I trust that reading my secret diary of a good girl blog will make you realise that you’re not alone. That even though life can be tough sometimes, it’s also a pretty goddamn great fairground ride, one that may sometimes make you sick but will always have you wanting more.
So again, to leave you with the paraphrased words of my dear friend Ron Burgundy from the movie Anchorman, and remembering that sarcasm is indeed the highest form of wit:
I don’t know how to put this but I’m kind of a big deal.

Hey Jon!
I remember that day, I’m so glad I was able to help with that smile :-) I know this is what I do but it’s always great to get positive feedback to re-enforce I’m on the right path, so thank you. I love what I do so much so unless I get tomatoes thrown at me everyday then I think I actually might carry on ;-)
Keep smiling Jon :-)
